DESCRIPTION
The Kite Bandana is the playful little sister to our iconic diamond-shaped Keel Silk Scarf. This chic accessory offers a delightful way to utilise leftover yarn from your stash while highlighting the shine of the PURE silk. This pattern alternates between our PURE silk's glossy elegance and the wool yarn's matte look, adding depth and texture. Experiment with contrasting stripes or similar shades that vary in texture.
The bandana is worked in the round from the outer edge towards the centre. After casting on stitches for the outer edge using the scrap yarn and a provisional cast-on, you continue with the working yarn. First you work a few rows back and forth in double knitting (Italian/tubular cast-on) for a narrow edge. Where after you join for working in the round in stocking stitch, decreasing at each of the four corners in a particular rhythm to create a diamond shape. Finally, the last few stitches are pulled together at the centre.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
By hand: Ensure the water temperature is
steady, lukewarm or around 28°C/82°F. Add a small amount of gentle detergent, submerge your silk garment, and soak it until completely saturated. Rinse two to three times in clean water, ensuring it is the same temperature. Press the
water out of the garment, place it in a washing bag, and spin it in the machine using a gentle to medium spin programme.
By machine: Use a washing machine with a
silk/wool setting and a gentle cycle.
DRYING INSTRUCTIONS
Lay the garment flat on a clean towel and
reshape it as needed. Leave it to air dry away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Do not hang to dry.
